Taiwo Leo Atieno (born August 6, 1985 in Brixton, London, England) is an English professional football striker, who signed at the age of 15 for Walsall in July 2001. Shortly after signing for Walsall, Atieno's mother Biddy Roberts died of cancer in the winter of 2001. After graduating from the club's youth system Atieno signed professional contract forms in July 2004 under then manager Paul Merson ex Arsenal England forward. Following Walsall's relegation from the Coca-Cola Leaque One, Atieno left Walsall in May 2006. Atieno had played for The Saddlers since 2001

As well as this, Atieno has had loan spells at Rochdale[1], Chester City[2] and Kidderminster Harriers[3].

In September 2006 Atieno signed for Tamworth F.C. under manager Mark Cooper who was quoted as saying "we need a striker with presence and Taiwo brings us that, he will also get his fair share of goals". Atieno scored 13 goals with 12 assists, Also a fans' favourite with a song to his name "Who needs Mour-rin-ni-ho we've got A-tie-ni-ho" Jose Mourinho. Atieno was starting to show the potential Walsall had sought in him, although Atieno's goals weren't enough to keep Tamworth from relegation in Nationwide Conference in April 2007. Taiwo has an evil twin brother Kehinde who is a basketball player[1] in the United States of America, which is thought to be the reason he did not accept offers from Tamworth and several other Football leaque clubs in the UK. Atieno left Tamworth in April 2007. Atieno has sinced signed for USL First Division team Puerto Rico Islanders in June 2007.
