Camilla Belle (born October 2, 1986) is an American actress.
Early life
Camilla Belle Routh was born in Los Angeles, California to Cristina Routh, then a fashion designer, and Jack Routh, the owner of a construction company. She was named after a Brazilian soap actress's character in the soap Cavalo de Aço. Camilla was raised in a Catholic household, and attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School and then transferred to the Marlborough School, an elite all girls school in Los Angeles.
Career
Belle began her career with a small role in the film production of the novel A Little Princess costarring Liesel Matthews. Her first lead role was in Rip Girls in 2000, a Disney Channel original movie. After taking some time out of filming, she came back with the lead role in the remake of When A Stranger Calls. Her next role was in the feature film 10,000 BC, directed by Roland Emmerich, a film about prehistoric man. Camilla Belle recently was in the "Lovebug" video by the Jonas Brothers which premiered on the Disney Channel.
Personal life
Camilla Belle lives with her parents and her grandmother Deborah. She has three Miniature Pinschers named Tokya, Keiki, and Evolet, which she named after her character in 10,000 BC. Belle, an aspiring classical pianist, speaks fluent Portuguese (her mother's native language), as well as Spanish.
She has been involved in various charities and is an international spokesperson for Kids With A Cause which assists children suffering from poverty, hunger, lack of education, neglect, or abuse. She is the face of Vera Wang's "Princess" fragrance.
She is friends with Maria Sharapova, actor Tom Sturridge and actress Elissa Sursara. She is rumored to be dating Twilight actor Robert Pattinson.
