Puranpur is a town and a municipal board in Pilibhit district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Geography

Puranpur is located at 28°31′N 80°09′E / 28.52°N 80.15°E / 28.52; 80.15[1]. It has an average elevation of 180 metres (590 feet).

As of 2001 India census[2], Puranpur had a population of 37,193. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%.
