David Lang is also the name of an American composer.

David Lang was an NFL running back. He was born in 1967, and died Thursday, May 21, 2005 at age 37. He was shot and killed near his home in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

He was drafted in the 12th-round from Northern Arizona University in 1990. He spent four years with the Los Angeles Rams. In 1992, Lang rushed for a career high 203 yards on 33 carries and caught 18 passes for 283 yards. He scored six touchdowns.

In 1995, his final season, he was the Special Teams captain of the Dallas Cowboys who won Super Bowl XXX that season.
