Robert Heizer (Denver, Colorado on July 13, 1915-1979) was an American [[anthropologist] who specialized in the Native American peoples of North America. He was an enthusiastic teacher, and taught anthropology at the University of Oregon (1940 – 1941), University of California at Los Angeles, (1945 – 1946), and the University of California at Berkley, where he taught until 1976. [1] Heizer was also the Curator of the Lowie Museum of Anthropology.
