Mysandbox

Hey Eeekster, thanks for your note. I created a subpage in my user page just to try editing options. It is my first article. However, I emerged my article with another article already existing on Wiki. But I want to change the name of the article. Can I do that? Cheers --Orangegray (talk) 11:25, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peppertones

Hey, how is an article on a major Korean nationwide newspaper not a reliable third party source? are you kidding me? And, how is winning a major music award widely recognized in Korea not a basis for being "notable"? just because there are no "American" sources does not mean it is not "notable". The internet is not just for Americans or English speaking countries.

Internet Empowerment Resolution

I made some changes Internet Empowerment Resolution. Please let me know if they are satisfactory.

Research & Branding

is a major Ukrainian Public Opinion Polling organization and ti be consistent you would have to remove a host of other Public Opinion Polling Organizations such as news corp, standard and poors, etc. You would also need to remove references to Razmov Center

You have placed this tag on the page I have created BUT you have failed to provide a valid reason to your request. If you remove this item you would have top remove many other pages of a similar notation. You are bringing Wikipedia into disrepute by your actions. Please discuss before you seek to play an obstructive role without justification.

If you apply your logic you would need to also remove the following pages.

dePRODing of articles

Hello Eeekster, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD templates you added to a number of articles were removed:

  • PROD removed from Buk Bak, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(Contest prod and replace with {{unsourced}} tag. A Google News archive search shows that this is one of Ghana's leading bands, so this needs to have sources added rather than be deleted.)'
  • PROD removed from C.V. Chandrasekhar, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(contest prod - notability is obvious, rather than questionable, if you do a Google News archive search)'
  • PROD removed from List of SJS inducing substances, by User:Antonycarthy, with summary '(added needs citation)'

Please consider discussing your concerns with the relevant users before pursuing deletion further. If you still think the articles should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may send them to WP:AfD for community discussion. Manny Marc Speedy Deletion

Sorry for clicking "submit" before I added the reference to the bottom of the page. Hopefully, the Bild article (though it's in German) corroborates the relevance of the Manny Marc page to Wikipedia.

About Spiritual Interpretation of the Large Hadron Collider

You have deleted this message: "In ancient occult scriptures we find sporadically evidences that the (ether/electromagnetic) whirlwind may emanate from evil spirits, and may be used as a kind of portal." Ok, I agree that this sentence sounds very weird in modern society, however it is only a matter of right interpretation. Learn basics of mathematical Game Theory, and Theory of Egregores. You even can not imagine how deeply the world of "legitimate science" is manipulated.

My new article

I just started the article Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2010. I'm working on getting it ship-shape. Please bear with me.

About my alleged "disruptive edit" 2

Since you either eluded or missed the first time I asked my question, I feel I should ask it again to get your attention.

Now, you give me "last warning" for allegedly vandalizing the article, Liberate (song) for changing the genre from Nu metal to Hard rock. How is that vandalizing? I thought I was doing a good thing because the other two singles from the Believe article (Prayer and Remember) had been labeled "Nu metal" for their genres. If you ask me, THAT is vandalism because the only genres on that album are Alt. metal and Hard rock but you obviously believe otherwise and if you feel like debating that matter, then go debate in the article's discussion page because I'm sure other users will agree with me on that subject.

Anyways, I feel that you giving me a warning for my edit wasn't a good call because what you think the song's genre should be is a matter of opinion and not fact. --Madroxxide17 (talk) 18:29, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking of articles

Regarding this edit [1] normally only attack pages are blanked as part of the speedy deletion nom. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:48, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea how it got blanked. Perhaps a twinkle bug? Eeekster (talk) 00:49, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Huh. Maybe it was Twinkle, that's weird. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The servers have been really slow in the last hour. That might have done something too. Eeekster (talk) 00:54, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Twinkle does sometimes completely replace the article with the sd-tag. I've seen it happen before. I don't use it myself, so I can't comment further. HalfShadow 00:55, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know that I declined the speedy onj this one as too borderline but have sent it to AFD instead - see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The American Outlaws. Best, Nancy talk 13:32, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Severity of the warning to User:333x6=1998

Greetings! I see you gave a {{uw-create3}} warning to 333x6=1998 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) early this morning. Could you take a look at my comment and consider whether the warning should be removed or softened a bit? Since this user is getting better, and since the attempt to create List of States in USA. was constructive and in good faith, a level 3 warning seems a little BITE-y. What I really don't want to happen is for him to create another borderline article and get blocked because of the warning. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 15:15, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I took into account his previous games. Plus I don't see List of States in USA. as constructive. Eeekster (talk) 21:42, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eeekster, I've removed your A7 on this article. Though I have no doubt that this article doesn't meet any sort of notability or verifiability standards, places are not speediable under A7. I've replaced it with a PROD. Thanks. Fingerz 01:04, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why a PROD? Obviously there is nothing about this article that meets anything. I considered a G3. Eeekster (talk) 01:07, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Animeatosis

I have edited the page to make it not a hoax. As Animeatosis is a term used to refer to people obsessed with anime, I made it look like a disease. i have edited it so it informs the reader that it is a term. NOT a disease.--Justinbronze (talk) 03:13, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Then where are the sources to support it not being a hoax? Eeekster (talk) 03:16, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It isn't used on the internet as a term, it is used my kids and teenagers. It is like slang.--Justinbronze (talk) 03:48, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Eeekster (talk) 03:49, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Red Rider Ranch

The author could have just blanked it, instead he chose to write vandal there.Thats why I reverted it.Anyway, thanks for informing me...I didn't know that user was the articles author... :) arunkumarcheckmate me 03:53, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Duh!

I know Wikipedia is not a social network site, which is why I was asking him if he had a facebook so I could talk to him on there. Next time mind your own business because the question was not directed at you. --70.121.37.111 (talk) 04:08, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Violation of WP:3RR

You violated the 3RR, which user talk space can not apply to, you will be reported to appropriately. First of all, the message left on the page was and CAN only be directed back towards me if that user does not wish to communicate. It has nothing to do with you and the other participant is active in my conversation. --70.121.37.111 (talk) 04:20, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, I have not violationed 3rr. Please top using WP as a chat room. Eeekster (talk) 04:21, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good call!

This was a good call! Thanks for looking over my shoulder. :) Basket of Puppies 05:50, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He created a second attack page. So I was able to catch it when I checked his contributions. Eeekster (talk) 05:52, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This user, Curtrkat09, seems to be creating articles that was deleted.I think stephanie fong article was deleted once and it again has reappeared.I have put a deletion tag on it. arunkumarcheckmate me 11:08, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware of that. One more time and I'll report him to WP:AIV. Eeekster (talk) 11:09, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Moyle Rovers GAA

Hello Eeekster, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Moyle Rovers GAA - a page you tagged - because: Enough assertion has been made about notability, namely winning titles. PROD or (better) take to AfD if required. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. GedUK  13:33, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clockwork (band)

I have declined this speedy, not that I think it was at all unreasonable, on the basis of another editor's plea on the talk page that having appeared on "The Hills" was enough to avoid A7 and it ought to go to AfD. In fact, looking closely at the article, all it claims is that a song written by two of them is "soon to be featured" there. The AfD is here. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:31, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um...you busted it. You tagged the page just after an admin deleted it. Re-tagged as empty. HalfShadow 21:11, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That happens sometimes. I don't think twinkle handles edit conflicts very well. Eeekster (talk) 21:12, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eekster. I added more sources, please, take a look and tell me what more is necessary for a stub. The man has two books (and I gave the link to his publisher's page where you can see the covers and the descriptions) and number of exhibitions, you can find him in 100 different sources if you search with Google, I really cannot see what is the problem? (I don't know how to mark it as a stub about photography, you could help me in that.) Thank you. --Mrs Robinson (talk) 23:46, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, wanted to add this too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrs Robinson (talkcontribs) 23:50, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions for better contributions

Hi I browsed your contribution list and noticed that you have not really contributed to the content of Wikipedia. And you have used speedy delete tag on many valuable articles. I'd like to encourage your to take part in developing content for Wikipedia and use the speedy deletion request more conservatively. If you are new to Wikipedia I'll be more than happy to mentor you in order to bring you up to speed. --Max Allen G (talk) 00:10, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't need your help or your criticism. Eeekster (talk) 09:11, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see now that you removed templates I placed on an article you created. Perhaps you'd me more productive if you addressed those concerns rather than complaining about the work I do on Wikipedia. Eeekster (talk) 09:27, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I have added a number of links in the talk section for you. Please read them and if you have any questions please let me know. You keep reverting to a version that has a number of typos. If you want to place a tag please place your tag on the final version and please avoid reverting it to the version that has been improved. You are wasting my efforts on that page. TEDx is a free event. There was no intention to make it sound advertising if you feel that it sounds advertising please consider making it neutral. Placing a speedy delete ticket will not help anyone one here.--Max Allen G (talk) 21:41, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've done no reverting at all. Please stop blaming me for your edits. Eeekster (talk) 21:42, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In the interest of helping everyone out, I'd like to encourage both of you to assume good faith and hope that both of you were doing what you think was best for Wikipedia. That being said, if you can't come to some kind of agreement perhaps I can step in as a neutral third party to help merge the contributions both of you have made. I don't like to see two parties in disagreement, but unfortunately neither of you have linked the article(s) in question so I can't do much more than encourage both of you to relax for just a moment and try to settle your debate in a calm manner. Happy editing :) --Mpdelbuono (talk) 21:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have provided a number of links in the talk section and I can provide more links about why TED spin offs are important please consider making comments in the talk section if they are not clear and I can explain more Max Allen G (talk) 22:01, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
