Adolph Meyer has had a huge impact upon the delivery of mental health services in America. His ideas about the Psycho-Social aspects of mental illness became the cornerstone of the Social Work Profession in America. The psycho-social diagnosis came to include Biological factors as well. His ideas in many ways have been supported by the works and writings of Ken Wilber, one of the most influential philosophical and sociological scientists of the late Twentieth and early Twenty-First centuries.
