The Griffon Aerospace MQM-170A Outlaw is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) which the United States Army (USA) is in the Small Tacitcal UAV class. It can serve as a target drone, surrogate training pltform, or in a reconnaissance and forward observation role, and can also carry a guided payload. The aircraft, in use since 2004. The MQM-170A Outlaw is a system. The fully operational system consists of an Air Vehicle, a ground control station (GCS including an optional satellite link communication suite. The Outlaw may be launched pnuematically or by runway takeoff.
