Donnie Steele

History

Donnie Steele was one of the original guitarists from Slipknot in 1993 to 1996. He preformed in the bands first demo named Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat.. But before Slipknot, he was in another band named Body Pit with vocalist Anders Colsifini and guitarist Mick Thomson. He later left because he supposedly "found god". It ment his family was more important than the band. he lived in Iowa with his girlfriend and his three children. In 1997, he joined a Death Metal band Killpact. In 2001, he left the band and studied classical guitar. Then he was giving guitar lessons to people.

Slipknot

Donnie joined the band in 1993. Him and Anders Colsifini were in another band with Mick Thomson. Anders wasn't the original singer in Slipknot. He was a replacement for the first singer Quan "Meld" Nong. Meld was the first singer during the formation in 1989. Donnie was a replacement for John Green. John was the first guitarist in 1992. Donnie joined the band in 1993. He later left in 1996 because he thought his family was not as inportant as the band. When he left the band he said he "found god".

Killpact

Donnie joined the band Killpact after he left Slipknot. Even though he wanted to be with his family more often, he decided he could do both. But he did not stay long in the band. He later left from issues the band had, the vocalist and Donnie were having an argument. Donnie then decided to leave the band.
