Greg Welts

History

Greg was one of the original percussionist from Slipknot. He was born on December 3, 1973. He joined the band in 1996. Greg was the second percussionist. Shawn Crahan was the first in the band. Greg was born in Iowa, Des Moines. He had a very simple life compared to the others, but he still had to face challenges in his life. Greg worked at teen age to get money for the family. He then moved out and began looking for a job. He took a job as a tatoo palor. He later found out about the band Slipknot. He wanted to join the band. He joined the band and he released his first album with the band named Slipknot Demo. And, in 1998, The band released The singal Wait and Bleed. But he was fired from the band because he seemed to be dating Joey's sister wich caused some probloms. He was later replaced by Brandon Darner. Brandon did not stay very long, Brandon preformed on the song Spit It Out. But did not apear in the video. Brandon was replaced by Chris Fehn. In the release of the album Slipknot, the guitarist Josh Brainard left the band and was repleaced by Josh Brainard. When Greg left the band he took the job as a tatoo palor again in South Dakota.

Even though he was replaced by Brandon Darner, and Brandon replaced by Chris, Greg was still credited on the album because he preformed on some of the songs in the album. Brandon was credited too from preforming in the song Spit It Out. Greg then relized that the band was not as important as his life.
