History

Josh Brainard was one of the original guitarist in Slipknot. He was born in 1975 and was raised by his father. When he was twenty years old, he met Anders Colsefni and Mick Thomson, he joined the band when Donnie Steele asked him since he knew members from the band. His first album release with the band was their first demo Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat.. He was the guitarist for the band and he added some back up vocals in some songs. Then when Corey Taylor came and Anders moved to percussion, his second release was Slipknot Demo. Then after that release Anders left. Josh's next album release was a hit singal Wait and Bleed. Then his next release was Spit It Out. But however, he did not preform in the music video. Jim Root had already joined the band and he appeared in the video. Then Josh's next release was Slipknot. After that release he decided to leave the band. He left in year 2000. The reason he left was because he did not like the style of the band anymore.
