• Augsburg is founded as Augusta Vindelicorum, and becomes the capital of Rhaetia Prima.
• Chur (Switzerland) becomes the capital of the Roman province Rhaetia.
• Marcus Livius Drusus Libo and Lucius Calpurnius Piso are Roman Consuls.
• Nero Claudius Drusus decides to improve the passage through the Alps for military control to Noricum and Rhaetia (modern Austria). He builds the Via Claudia Augusta through Italy.
