Morlocks (limited series)
In June of 2002, Marvel released a four-part limited series entitled Morlocks. In it, a small group of mutants living in Chicago help each other to fulfill their one last wish on the surface while trying to escape the mutant-hunting Sentinels.
This collective group of outcasts are descendent from the Morlocks. Mikhail Rasputin transported a group of Morlock children to another dimension called the Hill, where time moves faster than our reality, as he was flooding the Morlock tunnels. Upon return, the hardened group became violent proponents for mutant equality. Even though the group had only a few comic appearances they went through many changes including leadership. At various times Gene Nation was led by Mikhail, Marrow and Dark Beast. In their final incarnation all members except Marrow were brutally slaughtered in retaliatory fashion by Agent Zero of the Weapon X Program.

Gathered by Gambit and founded by Sinister, this group's most notable exploit was the Mutant Massacre. Many of them have been killed numerous times, but since Sinister has samples of their DNA he can clone them whenever another copy expires. The only exception is Malice, who is a being composed of pure psychic energy and therefor has no DNA, and Sabretooth, who Sinister has claimed was impossible to clone intact due to his healing factor. A "halflife" clone of Sabretooth appeared once, but it was not fully formed and displayed very little intelligence.
