Helena Pilejczyk (born 1 April 1931 in Zieluń, Poland as Helena Majcher), is a Polish speed skater with a remarkably long career.
Helena Pilejczyk is best known as Olympic Bronze Medal winner on the 1,500 m in Squaw Valley (1960), but the length of her career might be a bigger claim to fame. Her first appearance at the Polish national Championships speed skating was - as far as we can research at the moment - in 1953,[1] the last time she could be seen skating internationally was during the masters games of 2002, where she competed in the category for female skaters 70 years and above.[2]
In her long career she achieved 40 Polish skating records and won 37 Polish titles for distance, allround and relay race events.[3]
