Villa Española is a football and boxing club, best known for its football side, and it is located in Montevideo in Uruguay. It played last season in the Uruguayan 2nd Division. After winning a decisive match against Tanque Sisley, Villa Española was going to play the 2008/2009 season in the Uruguayan First Division. However, due to monetary problems, the team only played the first half of the season (Apertura tournament). Actually it is not affiliated to any league of the Asociacion Uruguaya de Futbol.
