Hull University Labour Club (HULC) is a society of Hull University Union for University of Hull students who support the Labour Party. It is affiliated to Labour Students and the Labour Party, however has come into problems with affiliation due to a change in Hull University Union's charity status.
It is an active club and campaigned during the general elections of 2005 and 2010 for all three of Hull's Labour MPs; John Prescott (succeeded by Karl Turner), Alan Johnson and Diana Johnson. HULC played a particularly prominent role in Diana Johnson's campaign for Hull North, helping her to retain her seat with a largely decreased majority in the 2010 general election.
