I've deleted your article. It appeared to accuse a living person of crimes committed under a pseudonym without adequate sourcing. If you'd like to discuss how such an article SHOULD be done, feel free to respond; I'll be watching this talk page. Jclemens (talk) 15:33, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

Yes, there is a process for proposing mergers. Please refer to WP:MERGE and Help:Merging for all the details. Essentially, you'll need to start a discussion section on the article talk page, use the {{Merge to}} & {{Merge from}} templates on the source and proposed target, and then notify interested paties/projects of the discussion. Orphaned non-free media (File:Homelessinamerica.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Homelessinamerica.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 03:43, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Castle Crashers GAN

FYI- I am reviewing Castle Crashers at Talk:Castle Crashers/GA1, and have placed the nomination on hold. I typically wait a week for improvements to take occur before reviewing the article again. Hey sorry for the delayed response at Talk:Castle Crashers/GA1. I left some further comments. The article is very close to passing. I'll give the review extra time because of my delay. (Guyinblack25 talk 16:32, 7 April 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Hello Takeo. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ivor Fox-Strangways Guest, 3rd Viscount Wimborne, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There is sufficient context to identify the subject of the article. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 16:16, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined

Hi. I want you to know that I declined the speedy deletion of Paintrock, Tennessee because the article does contain an assertion of notability. If an article asserts notability but does not demonstrate it, it may qualify for proposed deletion or AfD, but not speedy deletion. --Orlady (talk) 19:26, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE: So, ED won't come back in it's old form?

I agree personally. Oh Internet reminds me of the Wikia redesigns. I have a distaste for Web 2.0 and JavaScript. As with the others, I had to learn to accept that ED couldn't survive in its previous form. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 00:26, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Ngbbs4d9e642a8ad1d.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Ngbbs4d9e642a8ad1d.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jamietw (talk) 16:02, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Ngbbs4d9e642a8ad1d.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. mechamind90 09:28, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm pretty sure there are many websites you could use that image as a personal background, but Wikipedia requires images on a user page to be available under a free license. My Little Pony is not available under a free license, so unfortunately it is not suitable for a Wikipedia user page. mechamind90 09:41, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for rollback

Hi Rainbow Dash. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 23:04, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for your assistance :)

Hi Rainbow Dash! :)

Would just like to say thanks for assisting me on the Manhood (Law & Order) article! Some editors don't seem to understand that when Consensus is asked, it is required to be given. :)

Also I see you got your Rollback rights not many days ago, so Congratulations :) -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 13:25, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your welcome. Wikipedia needs to become 20% cooler at vandalism. Rainbow Dash 13:27, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can you explain why the words on the screen in the episode that establish that Manhood was remade into Samaritan do not serve as a source for the fact that Manhood was remade into Samaritan? And if it's really such a bother to you why instead of blindly reverting you don't go find a source that satisfies you? 76.204.89.112 (talk) 13:29, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you, MS, explain why you accept that the credits are sufficient sourcing in one article but dispute it in this one? Can you, Rainbow Dash, explain why you are supporting this irrational behaviour? 76.204.89.112 (talk) 13:39, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reporting you for your Violation of 3RR. -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 13:41, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just FYI, Rainbow Dash, your rollbacks are in support of an editor who is making the change not because of a good faith belief but in order to push a point. From MS's talk page: "I personaly don't want to challenge the higher rank of articles yet, because unfortunately my consensus would be faced by a lot of Biasness. I'll take the lower rank of articles and work my up." 76.204.89.112 (talk) 13:44, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

mlpfim cult article

Before you create a new article, you may want to look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cult following which was called for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cult following to be merged into the main MLPFIM article. This is because while there are sources for the cult following, all this can be safely included in the main article on the show without making the size too large. Since I'm not yet seeing the main article grow any larger than it is (given the as-yet limited commentary on this show), I would recommend working from what I added to the show article to expand on the sourced fandom of it. --MASEM (t) 20:09, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is not so much your sourcing - give or take, you were using the same sources I used in the new section. The issue the AFD came to is that the main MLPFIM article is short enough that splitting off the internet reaction to it as a separate article is far too premature, hence the decision to merge back to the main show article. It may not be in the far future, but today, that assessment is pretty much correct. I would have a feeling if you tried to make the article again it will be merged/deleted again in short order for the same issues - not because it is factually poor or using bad sources, but just that it isn't significant enough in the grand scheme of things to warrant its own article yet. --MASEM (t) 13:09, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there RAINBOW, VASCO from Portugal here,

regarding my edit in this footballer (which you unduly reverted): 1 - yes, my summary was a bit exaggerated i admit it, but as i have no idea of Turkish or Romanian (just two examples), i will never write in those WP, why do people with ZERO grasp of English come and write here? 2 - he plays for Real Betis not for that Turkish team, hence it was vandalism, and i am the one who gets reverted?

That said, again, sorry for any incovenience, keep up the good work - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 22:45, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I failed My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic at GA for now because I think it's too far away from GA-class. In particular, I think someone should check it against and WP:WAF. There should be more sources in the development section, and I'm not too sure about the repeated use of deviantART as a source. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Wikipedia:Browser notes, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. The article Brony has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Disambiguation page only here due to alleged, unsourced existence of a slang term that has no article and seems likely to never have an article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Concerning some of your uploaded images

Hey! Nice to see a fellow brony, and congrats on the GA. Unfortunately, I wanted to briefly mention that a few of the images you've uploaded (File:Customdashvector.png, File:718dash.png, and File:NyanDash.gif) are copyright violations. The first and second are taken from here and here, respectively, and the authors released them under a license that is incompatible with Wikipedia's (because of the non-commerical and no-derivatives clauses). The third one is seen here (uploaded at an earlier date, so assuming it came first), and there is no indication that it is released under a free license. As a result, I have deleted them under CSD F9.

This, this, and this can help you with cleanup if necessary.

Sorry for the trouble (I know, it sucks), but there are plenty of sites where you can host fanart, and Wikipedia isn't one of them. Thanks for listening! Please leave a message on my talk page or below if you have any questions. — The Earwig (talk) 07:49, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

eqd page

There may be a longer term issue with the EqD page in terms of notability, but for now its probably ok. But, that said, as they've used a number of different "logos", most a variation of one of the two header images, it might be better to see if you can use a font-only logo/header, as that is considered uncopyrightable (fails the threshold of originality) and thus considered free, replacing the current non-free image. Possibly you could ask sethiso or the like for help with that. --MASEM (t) 02:36, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Second, this file is, althrough slightly related, copyrighted (rip from Adventures in Ponyville game), so it cannot be used as a logo.

Homework

Wikipedia is actually a pretty decent place to get help for your homework. You should have pointed this user to WP:Reference desk where our volunteers act as librarians helping many people in exactly this kind of situation. It's always a bad idea to say we cannot help people, but it's especially bad when we actually can. If you don't know something, ask an experienced user what. The correct response is. I have a feeling that that article is going to be put up for deletion soon. The con barely crosses the notability threshold (consider the last AFD on EQD which had even more sources and yet was contested). It may be more notable later, but right now, it will have more trouble if it is noticed. --MASEM (t) 14:08, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Equestria_Daily_logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:Equestria_Daily_logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. November 2011

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Safari (web browser). When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Safari criticizm: Malware Blocking

Hi. I have reverted your section blanking of the above topic on the article Safari (web browser). In more detail:

  • The section cites both the NSS report and a third party article which interprets this report. Thus it is "reputable" and verifiable.
  • Regardless of whether or not the report is accurate (I personally also distrust it), this is something that people cite in criticizms of Safari (and other non-IE browsers).

The problem is not that the information given is wrong: simply that it is one-sided. However, there are enough people who have criticized these NSS reports to warrant adding this to the article, which I would encourage you to consider doing if you feel this section conflicts with WP:POV.

WP:WAR should also be avoided when possible. If a change is found to be controversial, use of the discussion page is encouraged. Thanks. —WOFall (talk) 22:32, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My Little Pony is not limited to FiM only

There are other things that were also important to My Little Pony as well, and it's not just Friendship is Magic. Well I can imagine that all the Bronies were focusing on FiM-based topics and not everything else. I had to go and manage the others, it's too much work. I need help on those topics sometimes.--Blackgaia02 (Talk if you're Worthy) (talk) 12:25, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that this is appropriate use of your userspace pages. Please consider deleting it. Phearson (talk) 04:00, 20 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

That was such a nice surprise to see on my talk page!Tokyogirl79 (talk) 07:19, 2 January 2012 (UTC)tokyogirl79[reply]

Oh, so...

you are a spiteful, malicious Wikipedian, if you nominate my article that has already been kept in AFD. You should watch all the MLP episodes again and learn something about not being vengeful.

In other words: your nom of Dupa biskupa for del. is absolutely aimed at me and is a personal nomination.

Your input is needed on the SOPA initiative

Hi Fluttershy,

You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.

Thank you.

Peer review

I apologize - really busy IRL. I will post a review in the next 24 hours. Main thing I have noticed is the prose, which is good but not great (and FAC wants great or close to it). WIll give more specifics soon, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 04:20, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article My Little Pony Online has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Upcoming potentially notable unofficial mmorpg. Not notable yet.
