Pomas is a commune in the Aude department in Languedoc-Roussillon southern France. It is located 4km north west of St Hilaire, 15km south of Carcassonne, 100km south east of Toulouse.

Facilities

Pomas has small, single track railway station, on the Carcassonne - Rivesaltes railway line, between Verzeille and Limoux.

Its shops include a bakery, a specialist local wine shop, and a tobacconist. It has a small private museum specialising in exotic shells. [1]

There are attractive walking routes in the hills around Pomas. [2]
