Chris Geddes (born 15 October 1975, Stroud, England) is the keyboardist for and a founding member of the Scottish indie pop band Belle & Sebastian. He is a Communist[1] and a vegetarian,[2] the latter earning him the nickname of "Beans".[3] He attended the University of Glasgow and regularly visits Tchai-Ovna Southside. He also likes going to the East End to see Celtic.[3] According to the band's website, Geddes has 'a numerology degree'. According to the liner notes of Belle & Sebastian's The Life Pursuit, his last name is pronounced "Geddes."
