I've got some reservations about the truthfulness of this article. Also, was the Mavrides gene-line in Bruce Sterling's novel Schismatrix a reference to Paul? Wellspring 21:29, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What's your question? Mavrides does exist, I have some of his comics in my collection. --SpinyNorman 04:28, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Most of this article is fairly valid. I know a bit about Mavrides, he's a bonafide artist.--Knucmo2 11:40, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Though I don't know the full publishing history of the Freak Brothers, this bio seems to be on the level (though I'm not sure he was really born in 1962, hence the question mark). How do we get rid of that tag?

I would not be at all surprised if Sterling was alluding to Mavrides. Nareek 22:46, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've got some reservations about this article. In fact, I must object. This article is far too accurate, and that is simply not in keeping with the subject matter. We need more LIES. ZachsMind 04:58, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

LIES

The evidence is quite puzzling. why would Paul allow the truth to be told about him unless there was a deeper, hidden truth which was in direct contradiction to the facts? Palmer V. Eldritch has said "you dont want to know more, have some Twinkies". ive said too much already, the xists are. . . Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:07, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reservations? Fable for one, please. Palmer was most certainly not born in 1945, more likely the early '50's. We schooled in the same oppressive slackless hellhole. The balance of the entry seems accurate enough, however. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cla3mute (talkcontribs) 22:33, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pronounciation?

Would be useful to for the article to give a hint on how do to pronounce his last name. There's at least two different ways I can imagine it, one would be MA-FREE-DUS, and another was suggested by German fellow underground/independent cartoonist Gerhard Seyfried, an occassional collaborator of Mavrides and Shelton's, when in one of his comics he portrays Rip-Off Press headquarters (as a huge building complex with only Shelton and Mavrides present as programmers and maintenance engineers of a huge computer AI that's writing, drawing, printing, and distributing all the stories itself, independent of any input by any human artists :P) where in one panel in the background we see a book which bears the title "Mav RIDES again!" --79.193.50.114 (talk) 17:44, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it is pronounced Palmer Vreedeez <see "Revelation X" page iv,etc.> Cla3mute (talk) 23:00, 22 October 2012 (UTC)(cla3mute 29 October 2012)[reply]
