Sam Gichuru (Born October 13, 1978) ), popularly known as Sam, is a serial entrepreneur, consultant, motivational speaker and mentor. Sam the Director of Ideas Africa Limited, a web hosting services company that has been running since 2004. Furthermore, he is the director and co-founder of Kenya’s leading accelerator and incubator, NaiLab.

Early life

Sam was born in Nyandarua and raised in Ongata Rongai, which is in the outskirts of Nairobi. Raised in a poor family, Sam grew up with numerous challenges but was able to forge through them. Upon reaching high school, Sam worked several odd jobs including working for a sewage exhaust company, in order to raise money for college.

Education & Professional Life

Sam joined Daystar University for a degree in Communications & Public Relations. Furthermore, Sam also pursued a Certified Information Systems Auditor(CISA)certification from Strathmore University.

Sam has an accumulated work experience of more than ten years working in multiple ISPs in Kenya including Wananchi Online, Sahanet and Insight Technology.
