Elsecar is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. Elsecar Junction was a junction on the Woodhead Line - the first electrified main line railway in the UK. Historically, Elsecar is in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

This user is actually from Edinburgh (not Elsecar), but likes Yorkshire. This user also likes Scotland, Portugal, transport and industrial heritage.
