Jessica declared her intentions to run for the office of Florida Governor on November 19, 2012’’Jessica would like to build a stronger Florida, create more jobs, and equal rights for all Florida citizens. She is quoted as saying “We need to first create a strong foundation before we try to build on rubble or everything will Collapse." Mrs. Stewart is being touted as "the peoples governor" should she win her bid for office in 2014. Jessica, having school aged children herself, having been a foster parent, attending college, and living on Gulf Coast has given her direct insight and understanding into the real struggles Floridian’s face every day and where actual changes are needed to improve and fix the problems. Mrs. Jessica Stewart has always held strong her beliefs and has never wavered them to impress others or gain approval.
Political views
Jessica has used the analogy when describing Florida's wasteful spending “wasteful spending is like a leaky faucet, a little drip doesn't seem like much, but if you plugged the drain you will see just how fast the sink will fill." There are a lot of places where money is being wasted, which are the cause of other areas that are suffering from lack of money. Florida needs a major overhaul to get us back on track. Jessica is pro-choice “A woman’s reproductive health is just as private and an individual decision as any other medical treatment that she chose’s. Nobody has the right to step in and dictate what type of medical care a woman receives when she gets ill, the same should go for her reproductive health as well." Mrs. Stewart has always held high her family values. She is also for equal rights and treatment for the members of the LGBT community," I believe that a person’s sexual preference should have no bearing on their civil liberties, and that memebers of the LGBT community should be afforded the same equality as the rest of Florida's citizens." Here are just a few of the issues that Jessica has been working on to develop soulution proposalsfor such as lowering unemployment-one solution is to Allow casino's and stop the privatization of prisons, immigration reform, public and charter schools, changing some of the fishing regulations without causing damage to the ecosystem to allow fisherman to bring in more harvest, combat Medicaid abuse, along with making medicare a better more affordable program for our seniors. Jessica believes that some compromises are needed by all political parties to create useable solutions to build a stronger, better Florida
