Ider University is a private institution of higher education in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The Mongolian name is Идэр дээд сургууль, which can also be translated as "Ider Institute."

The school offers bachelor's and master's degrees in a number of fields, among which are English (including English teaching), Business Administration (marketing management specialization), Accounting, Sociology and Social Work, Mongolian Language and Journalism (teacher training and media specialists training), Food Production technology and Hygiene Control, Computer Technical Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, and Tourism Management.[1]

Facilities

The campus is located in downtown Ulaanbaatar. The total area of the institute is 2000 m2, including a library, two computer labs, an aerobics room, a tennis room, a cafeteria and chess and billiard rooms as well as class rooms and a dormitory adjacent to the institute.

External relationships

Ider has relations with the Mongolian Foundation for Open Society and the Soros Foundation, through which it has sent instructors abroad on exchanges and done translations.[2] The institute has a particular focus on relations with educational projects in Germany, going back at least to 1995.[3] There are partnerships with Nijmegen Management University in the Netherlands, Hokuriku University in Japan, and Kyonggi University in the Republic of Korea.

The president of Ider University is Zorigt Dashjaa. .
