TimeWars
TimeWars is a series of 12 Science Fiction paperback books created and written by author Simon Hawke beginning in 1984. The story involves the adventures of an organisation tasked with protecting history from being changed by time travellers. In the world of the series, many people and events considered fictional are historical, and vice versa; the action of each book in the series weaves in and out of the events of a famous work of literature. For example, in the first book in the series time travellers contesting the fate of Richard I of England become caught up in Walter Scott's Ivanhoe.

Book Synopsis
- 'The Ivanhoe Gambit' - Sometimes Sergeant Major Lucas Priest wondered why he had enlisted int he U.S. Army Temporal Corps. Fighting in the Time Wars wasn't the easiest way to make a living. Sailing with Lord Nelson, battling Custer at Little Big Horn, and a yar of pillaging with Attila and his Huns had left him ready for a vacation. But a demented scheme to impersonate the King of England was threatening to change the course of history. Two army teams had already failed to intercept the madman.
