Athysanus argentarius

Athysanus argentarius: Used to be considered scarce, confined to the south east coast, with a few records from the south Sussex coast too. Over the last 70 years it has slowly expanded it's range northward as far as south Yorkshire, and westward turning up in the county of Warwickshire.

Description

A beige/straw coloured leafhopper, growing up to 8 mm. It has a black transverse line running parallel to the vertex. A dark line devides the posterior half of the pronotum running down the length of the scutellum.
