Jucu (Template:Lang-hu; Template:Lang-de) is a commune in Cluj County, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Gădălin (Kötelend), Juc-Herghelie (Zsukiménes), Jucu de Mijloc (Nemeszsuk), commune centre Jucu de Sus (Felsőzsuk) and Vişea (Visa).

Economy

In 2007, Nokia started a €200 million investment in Jucu, building a cellphone factory that has begun production in 2008 and in 2010 it's possible that an American pharmaceutical company will invest another €210 million to make a factory.[1]

On 29 September 2011, Nokia announced that the production will be closed and more than 2000 employees will be laid off by the end of 2012 as a measure of optimizing production processes.[2]

Buildings and Structures

High-power broadcasting station: 3 masts 165 metres tall. The station broadcasts on 909 kHz with 200 kW and 1152 kHz with 950 kW.
