Reception

The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 3 stars and states "This is one of the most well-rounded Arthur Blythe records from his Columbia period... a fairly definitive Arthur Blythe recording, showing off his links to hard bop, r&b and the avant-garde".[2]
