Audio Karate is a pop-punk band from Rosemead, California. They are signed to Kung-Fu Records in fall 2001. They put out their debut album called "Space Camp" on May 14, 2002. The CD had many catchy tracks such as Nintendo 89,Rosemead and the high school ballad "Senior Year" After the release of Space Camp, they toured all over the world with bands such The Ataris, NOFX, Blink-182 and other bands. Space Camp is one of Kung Fu Records greatest releases to date, it has the signiture sound of pop-punk mixing with emo creating the Kung Fu sound of The Ataris and Antifreeze. After a break from heavy touring, the band took a break to write for their next record. The result was a new record titled "Lady Melody" which was produced by Bill Stevenson of The Descendents. Lady Melody was released on June 1, 2004 on Kung Fu. Lady Melody was a much darker and angier record, it was more of a rock record, than an emo\pop-punk. After the release of the record the band began to tour non-stop in support of it. In 2005 rumor spread that the band had broken up, it later turned out to be false. As of 2006 the band is working on a follow-up to Lady Melody. Many fans are looking forward to another Audio Karate record. Recently Jason spent a lot of money and built a studio called "Lady Melody Recordings" word has it that it will be the place where Audio Karate will be recording the new album, it is expected for a possible summer release date.

Trivia- Have a feud with Matchbook Romance. Jason claims to have taught Scott Sellers of Rufio how to play guitar. Jason is an underrated amazing guitar player. Nick Powell was one of the original "garage band" members back in the day......
