"since you too seem to make time out of your day to belittle"

Would you mind striking that? It's pretty clear I haven't belittled anyone. Curly Turkey ⚞¡gobble!19:50, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nope.
"Tony, are you willing and able to do absolutely nothing, or is that too much to ask you and your busy schedule? Will you need help? Curly Turkey ⚞¡gobble!⚟ 22:33, 30 June 2014 (UTC)".
If you want to seem childish and petty during an argument by using sarcasm, then I will refer to you as childish and petty in an argument. Sarcasm is a tool to belittle in a discussion, to make fun of, a weapon in words. Used to mock and diminish the words and requests of another. There is no positive to sarcasm. That is what I see, so that is what I call it. Have a nice day.Foxxraven (talk) 23:17, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So to be clear: from that entire long discussion, you've chosen to cherrypick a single case of mild sarcasm on my part to characterize my role in the discussion as "mak[ing] time out of [my] day to belittle", and then target me with ad hominems such as "childish and petty"? Again, I ask you to strike your comment for being totally out of proportion and context. Curly Turkey ⚞¡gobble!23:54, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Did you or did you not use sarcasm? It was not necessary at the time and I felt belittled. As the person who recieved the attack I am allowed to use the words that reflect my feelings on the matter. If you do not like it, change that MOS. I will however strike the childish and petty which was uncalled for if you wish.Foxxraven (talk) 11:56, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Did I or did I not call it "sarcasm" myself? I've lived in three time zones, and in none of them have I lived in a community that has characterized sarcasm as "an attack". It was no more than a rhetorical device to draw attention to a very deep flaw in your comment---one that misrepresented the proposals in a fundamental way. The correct response to having that pointed out is to go "Whoops! Made a mistake!", not to respond by painting an editor's entire set of contributions with a melodramatic Red Brush of Imaginary Misconduct.
Whelp, I felt attacked. You could have easily pointed out the flaws without resorting to it. You didn`t, so you live with the consequences. Congrats on moving around, I guess? As stated above, I have absolutely no time for sarcasm, and no time for it as a tool. It`s nice to see you use it on lots of people to make your points, making feel bad about their ideas, especially when you missed the point of it. You must live a delightful life. Now, for the third time, I refuse to change the wording, as I felt belittled, and will leave it at that. If you continue to harass my talk page, I will report you. Have a nice day.Foxxraven (talk) 13:13, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
