Birth date

Most sources cite December 27 1927 as Nixon's date of birth, but Wikipedia indicates December 10.

Any evidence supporting this??

This is late, but I just read this talk page, and a few moments after reading it, I changed the birth date of this article for her to now reflect December 27 1927. Flyer22 19:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly don't cite IMDb as your source. If a "most reliable" source cannot be attained to determine her birthdate, then I would list both. I was just make it clear that her birthdate has been listed as both Dec. 10 and December 27, and then cite the sources that list it. The most we can hope for is for her to actually tell someone in an interview, or to actually come to Wikipedia and tell someone here. Short of any of those, it's a "we have this date and this date, and no source that is really more reliable than the other". Upon my own searches, I've found, [1], [2], [3] all giving Dec. 27 as the date. Here's a google search for Dec. 10, and the search for the dates I just listed for Dec. 27. To me, the sources look better on the Dec. 27 date, but none look uber-definitive.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 03:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help, Bignole. So do we list two different birth dates in her infobox of this article (and state a little something there) or state something about her age on this matter in a section in this article created specifically about this, like is done for the Janice Dickinson article? Or both? I do point out that there wouldn't be much to state if we were to make an age section for this article addressing this matter, of course. Flyer22 (talk) 04:38, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The more I look at it, it doesn't appear that anyone really reliable at all is using the Dec. 10. The better sources typically say Dec. 27. I'd just go ahead and go with that one, since there doesn't appear to be any good sources for the Dec. 10 date. I mean, looking at the other list, there really aren't that great of sources there either, but they are certainly better than the ones using Dec. 10. I don't see a reason to cite the 10th, unless a more reliable source pops up and uses it. The Janice Dickerson article has some original research and unsourced years.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:51, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Laughing out loud. Yes...it does. I only recently started editing that article, mainly just combating vandalism to that one. As for this article, I'm going to stick with the December 27 date, as you suggest...and add more sources to this article for its unsourced claims. I certainly would have stuck with the December 27 date, if we had to list either one, I tell ya. Oh, and, Bignole, I know that most experienced editors here say that IMDb isn't a reliable source, except for in two instances (I think it's box office numbers or budget of a film, something like that, as well as news articles), but you're saying that it isn't reliable for birth dates either? Not sure where people are getting December 27th as Agnes Nixon's date of birth, but please refer to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AES7lBl1eyY where Agnes Nixon herself states that she was born on December 10, 1927. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajs502 (talkcontribs) 03:51, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help on this matter. I received your e-mail about this. We usually are not allowed to use YouTube as a reference, but since this Archive of American Television reference is from its official YouTube page, we can use it. If we could not, I would have formatted it in a way without the link. Flyer22 (talk) 05:37, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Factual accuracy

An editor recently changed some years without changing citations. Looking at current and 2007-era references I see some conflicts. For example,

says she started on One Life To Live in 1967, but even early-2007 references show her as starting in 1968.

Due to the conflicting dates, all dates should be linked to reliable-source reference and, when multiple reliable sources show different dates, the discrepancy should be noted somehow. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:45, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
