A tag has been placed on Lohorung, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mhking (talk) 14:16, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Lohorung requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. mhking (talk) 14:17, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Man Bahadur Majhiya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. reddogsix (talk) 02:00, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, what's up. Sorry but I did delete this, but I do think that if you wanted to work on it it could potentially turn into a great article that we could keep. It all depends on whether there have been enough reliable sources (e.g. magazines, news sites, books, newspapers) that talk about the subject. What you could do is work on the article inyour userspace (that is, any page beginning with User:Ashishlohorung/... such as User:Ashishlohorung/Sandbox). That way you could take your time with it and get it to meet Wikipedia's standards for articles. Then you could move it back where it was when you're done. If you want to do that I can undelete the article and move it there for you to work on. Don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page if you have any questions or need anything, I'm always glad to help. Peace, delldot ∇. 01:46, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Kumar Lingden Limbu Mirak.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Kumar Lingden Limbu Mirak.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. Speedy deletion nomination of Numafung

Hello Ashishlohorung,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Numafung for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, FrankDev (talk) 14:15, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Numafung has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, insufficient sources to pass WP:GNG and no evidence that it passes WP:NFILM. More sources possibly available in Limbu or Nepali, but not in English.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Ashishlohorung. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Dhol (Kirat), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

Removing Speedy at Charlotte Hardman

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Charlotte Hardman. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 01:18, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Ghunsa village of Nepal.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Ghunsa village of Nepal.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:14, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Fatalism and Development by Dor Bahadur Bista.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 15:23, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Myrepublica.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The article Steel Park Marrickville has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

~Excesses~ (talk) 11:26, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Rajesh Payal Rai.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Rajesh Payal Rai.jpg, which you've attributed to OTRS pending since January; it's time to delete.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 22:07, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Soch by Karna Shakya.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Soch by Karna Shakya.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 12:54, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Karna Shakya

Hello, Ashishlohorung,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Karna Shakya should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Karna Shakya .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 13:50, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Soch (Book) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Replaceable fair use File:Armed Police Force of Nepal logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Armed Police Force of Nepal logo.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:33, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Damini Bhir

Hi, I'm Sulfurboy. Ashishlohorung, thanks for creating Damini Bhir!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. .

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Sulfurboy (talk) 16:55, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Seto Dharti, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nepali (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on Om Hospital, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Namaste Ashish!

You are getting clobbered by editors a lot! I don't know all of the topics you are writing about, but I recognized several that I think are notable enough for Wikipedia. I will be happy to work with you if you want. I'm a native speaker of English with some education. I also know some Nepali.

It can help to write articles up to at least a few paragraphs and sections in size, and to have five or ten references before you post them in Wikipedia.

I am actively working on Nepalese cuisine, trying to take this article beyond dal-bhat-tarkari and have more material about traditional food specialties of different janajati groups. I also want to write more about how food is changing in Nepal. I think it must be changing fast with so much urbanization, different castes and janajatis living close together for the first time, education, kitchen appliances, tourist foods like pizza being eaten by more and more Nepalis and maybe even cooks using cookbooks as well as learning from their mothers. But as things change and change, I think it is very important to write as much as possible about traditional foods that may be lost from history. LADave (talk) 14:53, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's really nice article , I will also upload pictures or other data to support this article. Keep it up .. Ashishlohorung (talk) 16:19, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Really glad to see your section about Lohorung food! I lived in Pyuthan in the Middle West. Except for a quick bus trip to Kodari and a few hours in Janakpur, I never visited eastern Nepal so I am very happy that you are adding this new material. I have read a little about Rai people, but I don't know all the different groups that are sometimes included in Rai. I know nothing about special foods in the east, unless I had them in Kathmandu or further west.
You have added a list of Lohorung foods. I think some may be eaten outside the Lohorung community too but others might be strictly Lohorung. I want to describe these foods in the article, so I will see what I can find online about them and list this below for your comments before adding it to the article itself. If the material from online is OK, you may only need to write up foods that we can't find online. Maybe there are foods that have one name in Lohorung and different names in Rai or Nepali.
Cheers, David

If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. (See section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:35, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ekantipur.com has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:WEB. Only claim is high visitor numbers, which doesn't prove notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

--Mdann52talk to me! 14:21, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Rabindra Mishra

Hi, I'm Stepojevac. Ashishlohorung, thanks for creating Rabindra Mishra!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The page is very short otherwise good work. More info on who Mishra is would be helpfull.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Stepojevac (talk) 11:03, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Stephen Currie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deletion discussion about Ian Thorpe Aquatic and Fitness Centre

Hello, Ashishlohorung,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Ian Thorpe Aquatic and Fitness Centre should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ian Thorpe Aquatic and Fitness Centre .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, S.G.(GH) ping! 16:46, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if it passes the notability criteria, so I've opened it up to the community to discuss the matter. I hope you'll stop by to lend us your thoughts. Regards, --S.G.(GH) ping! 16:47, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Pocket (Software)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Pocket (Software). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Pocket (application). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Pocket (application) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. BiH (talk) 10:27, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Dil Shova Shrestha for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dil Shova Shrestha is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dil Shova Shrestha until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. S.G.(GH) ping! 13:29, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to add that I'm on the fence about this one, Dil Shova Shrestha, as I think she may be notable enough to be retained. But I am worried that it is borderline and so I wanted to open it to the community to discuss it. Please, please go to the discussion and lend us your views. I don't want you to think we're being unwelcoming to your contributions. Let me know if I can help in any way. Regards, --S.G.(GH) ping! 13:31, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File:Khartuwa-Village of Nepal.jpg

Hello. You asked me to restore this file but it had been deleted because there was no proof that the original photographer released it under any free license. When you uploaded the file you credited Gajendra Lohorung as the author and that means that we need a written permission from Gajendra himself. Please see Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for instructions and a sample text. Unless our volunteer email team has received a permission like this I'm afraid I cannot restore the file. De728631 (talk) 14:02, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Nepal Sanskrit University logo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Nepal Sanskrit University logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:49, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Far-western University at Kanchanpur logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Far-western University at Kanchanpur logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:49, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Pushpa Basnet, CNN Hero 2012.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Pushpa Basnet, CNN Hero 2012.jpg.

Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:50, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stub sorting

Hello Ashishlohorung. Thank you for tagging an article as a stub. I noticed that you used the {{stub}} template. In the future, it would be greatly appreciated if you could sort the article to a subcategory by using one of these templates instead. For example, you can use {{US-novelist-1960s-stub}} for an American novelist born in the 1960s. Of course, if you can't find a proper category, you can always use the {{stub}} tag and someone else will sort it for you, or you can propose a new stub template or category here. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Raimundo Arruda Sobrinho

Hello Ashishlohorung,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Raimundo Arruda Sobrinho for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jyoti (talk) 09:10, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

The page about which you inquire was deleted as a result of Wikipedia's proposed deletion process. Under this process, the protest of any editor -- including yourself -- is sufficent to get the article restored. I will do this shortly. The assertions that led to the article's deletion were not mine, by the way. They were written by the person who nominated the page for proposed deletion. The restoration which I will perform does not protect the article from future challenge: it may still be nominated for a full deletion debate, where its merit will be argued.

The reason for the proposed deletion was that the article failed Wikipedia's notability policy for people renowned for only one event. If it were entirely my decision, I would be inclined to agree with you that all world records and record-holders are notable. However, Wikipedia operates by consensus, and it is often the case that articles of world-record holders are deleted, especially if the record is obscure, or if the sourcing for the article is not extensive. To maintain the article, I can only advise you to locate as many reliable sources as possible documenting the record. The more sources, the more likely the article is to be kept. Best wishes, Xoloz (talk) 17:18, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have just had a look at your editing history, particularly your creation of articles, including those which have been deleted. I have seen article after article which comes nowhere near to satisfying Wikipedia's notability guidelines, many of them written in promotional tone, frequently containing totally inadequate references, blatantly satisfying one or other of the provisions of WP:What Wikipedia is not. It is entirely the sort of thing that is to be expected from a new editor who does not have enough experience of Wikipedia to know better, but for an editor of your experience to be still making such mistakes so frequently suggests a lack of the necessary competence to edit. I should emphasise that I am not talking about a significant minority among many good articles: of a substantial sample of your articles, every single one was either clearly unsuitable or else borderline suitable, with significant problems. I have also seen other problems in your editing, one of the most disturbing being this edit, where you appear to be openly declaring your intention of using Wikipedia to promote a cause. A block is by no means out of the question if you continue as you have been doing. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:47, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nigerian kidnapping

The article is undoubtedly notable enough, and the quality of references now on the page give a guide to its widespread coverage. One reason for the regrettable paucity of media coverage is the sheer volume of recent attacks carried out as part of the insurgency, and the inevitable "Oh Dearism" that results, with the most important reason, in my opinion, being the lack of information from the authorities coupled with the inaccessible and violent nature of Chibok and the surrounding area, which hampers good journalism. It can be very dispiriting to create and maintain articles such as these, I created Sahar Gul a while ago, and I haven't seen any updates in a while. Acts of extreme violence in developing countries can sometimes end with no clear resolution, but the fact that the page was started will be testament to the fact that people do care enough to write about it, and that is our part to play. Thanks for your recent valuable contributions. Gareth E Kegg (talk) 23:18, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gareth, really thanks for supporting my point of view. I do understand that the facts and figures of the progress of the incident might be not accurate, however based on that we cannot ignore the mass violation of human rights and the cruel kidnapping. So just to keep it on the subject of concern I have created the article and yes I was first disappointed how could it had not come up earlier. Thank You. Ashish Lohorung (talk) 09:11, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I read about Sahar Gul and it was really disturbing. How could humans could be so cruel? This kind of stories should be out so that all people knows what is going on in reality. Ashish Lohorung (talk) 11:46, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Ishani Shrestha.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Ishani Shrestha.jpg.

Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:20, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Augustine Joung Kang requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. miszatomic 16:02, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Ophiocordyceps sinensis Suggestion

Hi. I am a bit confused by this edit and how the Ophiocordyceps sinensis relates to the 2014 Dolpo police crackdown, and then on that page, how Yarchagumba royalty relates back to Ophiocordyceps sinensis. At the very least, this relationship needs to be clarified and expanded--or else removed. Perhaps it is just a language or cultural issue--something that is very clear to someone familiar with the words, events, and political issues involved. However, to an outsider like me, it is very confusing. I almost reverted the edit thinking it was someone with a political agenda trying to use Wikipedia to promote a certain viewpoint. I looked at your edit history and contributions, and while it appears that you do lean strongly toward sympathetic views of the Nepalese culture and against the Chinese administration of the area, I think you've demonstrated a lot of good sense and fairness in the past in your edits, which is why I approached you directly.

Like I said, I don't understand how the 2014 Dolpo police crackdown relates to the fungus/caterpillars. Did that even occur in the same region? How does it related to the fungus/caterpillars? How does the Yarchagumba relate back to them? It's all very unclear and confusing to an outsider like me. Bear in mind that many people coming to this article probably are primarily related to the health benefit claims of the fungus (that's how I came upon it), and the whole political and economic side to the issue is completely new to us. Such references need to be very clear to outsiders to be effective and not come across as a grumpy, disenfranchised bunch of rhetoric aimed variously at exploiters of the supposed health benefits, the Chinese government, and the locals.

If you could clarify some of that and help to improve those two articles and the redirect, I think it would really help to improve both articles. Perhaps, the economic and political side of the issue deserves its own article separate from the rest. I don't know the topic well enough to say. It just feels like the articles need a lot of improvement to make them more effective and informative. Have a great week! Willscrlt ( Talk | com | b:en | meta ) 16:40, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Willscrlt, it has been pleasure to get such suggestion about improving Wikipedia articles. This is why I like Wikipedia where having various background come together to create beautiful ocean of knowledge. Thank you for letting me know about the issue before reverting. As for the article 2014 Dolpo police crackdown which reads 2 people were killed by police and many locals injured, is directly related with Yarchagumba. The best article that explains the incident lies in here. Basically, there is huge conflict among the locals and foreigners that who has the right to collect the fungus. The deaths are the result of the conflict. You can follow the links in the article to know more about the incident which is being investigated by National Human Rights Commission of Nepal. I will be adding more to the articles soon. Also, it would be great if other contributors are too willing to help to expand the articles. And yes your are absolutely right in the sense that those articles need to be improved. Thank you for your suggestion and nice to meet with you. Have a good time.Ashish Lohorung (talk) 08:29, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
