What does 'all the peripherals are virtualized' mean

'All the peripherals are virtualized' is a perhaps bit obscure for a non-embedded kind of mainstream reader - even those with an interest in this subject. If someone could give an explanation, or maybe link to an explanation, that would help this article.

Agent "Smart" Watch

There is at least one editor who kept on removing the section Agent "Smart" Watch. This was clearly done by someone with an agenda. Agent "Smart" Watch is a Netduino project (the topic is locked but it can still be found on the Netduino forums). [1]
