Makai Ichiban Kan (魔界1番館, lit. "Number 1 House in Hell") is a video game series by Japanese developer Compile Heart.[2][3][4] The project is directed by Masahiro Yamamato, with character designs by Kei Nanameda and music by Tenpei Sato.[5][6] The first game in the series, Makai Shin Trillion (魔壊神トリリオン), will be released on the PlayStation Vita on July 23, 2015.[7]

Setting
The game takes place within a demonic hell separated into six layers. The Demon King Zeabolos, having previously lost against a battle with Trillion, makes a deal with a grimoire-wielding girl by the name of Faust. In exchange for Zeabolos' soul, Faust grants him his life, and he travels to fight against Trillion again alongside six Demon Lords.[8][9] These Demon Lords, each with the appearance of a young girl, go by the names of Lucie, Levia, Phegor, Mammon, PelPel, and Asmedia.[10]
Characters
- Trillion - Ruler of hell who has 1,000,000,000,000 HP, hence his name.[11]
- Ruche - A proud and high-handed demon lord representing Lucifer's sin of pride and arrogance, and the niece of Zeablos.[12]
- Levia - Zeablos' childhood friend representing Leviathan's sin of envy and jealousy, who maintains a mature facade amongst others.
- Fegor - The older sister of Zeablos, representing Belphegor's sin of sloth, and is very lazy.
- Mammon - Zeablos' cousin representing Mammon's sin of greed, who decides to help Zeablos in order to gain the riches offered by the underworld.
- PerPell - A lighthearted and foolish niece of Zeablos representing Beelzebub's sin of gluttony, who intends on turning the underworld into a giant kingdom made of candy.
- Ashmedia - Another cousin of Zeablos who represents Asmodeus' sin of lust who enjoys displaying her sex appeal around.
Gameplay
The player progresses by raising and bonding with six Demon Lords, who are girls with different strengths and weaknesses, so that they become capable of facing against Trillion. Training these Demon Lords involves triggering special events, and the storyline will branch into different endings based on the player's actions.[8] The in-game battle system resembles a cross between that of roguelike and simulation RPGs, and the player is required to raise characters ahead of a deadline known in advance.[13]
MeiQ no Chika ni Shisu
MeiQ no Chika ni Shisu (メイQノ地下ニ死ス, "Death Under the Labyrinth") is the second game within the Makai Ichiban Kan series, announced for release on the PlayStation Vita.[14]
