Mutharaiyar kings
Appearance
The Mutharaiyar or Muthuraja are Tamil speaking community of landlords. They are descentants of Tamil sangam period cholas. Early chola kings use titles of muthuraja,mutharaju. Ganga kings use titles of mutturasa,mutturasu,virudha raja Sanskrit meaning muthuraja.
As per Veera Mutharaiyar Research Centre,[1] mutharaiyar kings ruled two different countries. i.e. chola nadu,thondai nadu.
