Moon King is a Canadian pop music duo from Toronto, composed of Daniel Benjamin (née Daniel Woodhead) and Maddy Wilde.[1]

They have released two EPs, Obsession I and Obsession II, on Fucked Up guitarist Mike Haliechuk's label One Big Silence.[2]

On December 11, 2014 the band announced they had signed to Last Gang Records[3] and released their debut album Secret Life on April 7, 2015 [1]

The band has toured North America and Europe with artists including Alvvays, TOPS, Fucked Up, Austra, Mr Twin Sister, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Majical Cloudz [4][5] ,[6][7][5] and appeared in music publications such as Pitchfork Media, the Fader, NME, and Dazed Digital.[8][9][10][11]

Daniel and Maddy were both previously members of the band Spiral Beach.[12] Daniel has also performed with Grimes,[13] Sean Nicholas Savage and his brother Airick Woodhead's project Doldrums.[14]
