Autopatrolled

Hi Eduardofeld, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled right to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Swarm X 00:31, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Free scientific research has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This may describe a notable school of thought in legal philosophy, but the article is so badly written and sourced as to make it of no benefit to our readers. The level of English exhibited in the prose is so low as to resemble a machine translation, and the text as a whole is nearly unintelligible. The sources are also deficient in that I would expect a topic like this to be sourced to French language works (Gény's language) or English language sources, rather than to Portuguese-language sources which most editors (including me) cannot read and therefore cannot verify. The article should be deleted or redirected to François Gény until it can be rewritten competently.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Sandstein  06:23, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As the tag that was shown, I had a plan to improve the article. But you were faster, so no problem at all. For me, seven days are not enough because I work. About the english, it's the first complaint after more than 30 articles, perhaps because the article has a strong technical character it turns it difficult to understand. Fixing the errors and clarifying it was part of my plan. I'm an autopatrolled or trusted editor, so it's enough to believe that I would not forget to go ahead in this plan and I would be successful as I managed to in past challenges. if you had a few more patience. Nonetheless, unfortunately, the intolerance is stronger than the solidarity in this project. So, do what you must do. After a couple of weeks, I will rewrite it. Apologizes for the poor english. E. Keita Takahashi - ALPHABET edit

Hi Eduardofeld, you just deleted my edit to Keita Takahashi's page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keita_Takahashi) after I added ALPHABET to the list of games he developed as this was nonconstructive. He co-developed this game with Adam Saltsman as part of the LA Game Space Game Pack 01. As you can see from this page http://indiegames.com/2013/09/alphabet.html. Here is the Kickstarter page for the project this game was created for: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lagamespace/la-game-space-a-place-for-re-imagining-video-games. I'm unsure how listing this game on his page counts as nonconstructive. - 82.35.30.215

The matter is not the truth but the unreferenced edition. Nonetheless, I selfrollbecked it for you to have the opportunity to improve it. Regards. E. Feld talk 17:17, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fred R. Shapiro

Oi, Eduardo.

You have reverted this edit I made to Fred R. Shapiro. When I made the edit I realized that I might look like vandalism, due to the single word that was inserted being a curse word; that's why I made clear in the edit summary that that was not the case, and explained what had been done.

It seems to me, upon further examination, that the reversion was done in an automated or semi-automated way, as it happened right after my edit.

I respectfully ask you to keep an eye on such automatic reversions, as now it has caused a lot more work, by me, the other fellow Wikipedian who reverted your reversion, and you, at least because of reading this message.

Thanks a lot / valeu!

Tim Gunn

Hello! I noticed that in the Tim Gunn article, it refers to him as asexual two times. However, I can find absolutely no sources for him being asexual. The source linked under the Personal Life section for him, http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationnow/2012/01/tim-gunn-celibacy-sex.html only references him being celibate. The word asexual is never used once. The line from the article that is quoted is about his choice to be celibate:

"Do I feel like less of a person for it? No!" he said. "I am a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual." He said he started his self-imposed celibacy as AIDS began ravaging the gay community, and that he and many other people simply retreated from that danger."

Another thing is that under his Early Life article, it calls him asexual. There is no source for this. There ARE multiple sources where he self-identifies as gay. Here is one: http://www.metroweekly.com/2007/09/naked-gunn/

"MW: Were you aware of being gay at the time?

GUNN: Never! Never! It’s hard to believe since I loved Hollywood glamour and design and art and fashion, and I was jealous of my sister and her Barbie dolls. I was a sports klutz — in fact, a sports hater. I was always the last kid chosen for the softball team at school, that sort of thing.

(...)

MW: So your internalized homophobia likely was environmentally induced.

GUNN: ”There must be something wrong with it,” that’s what you say to yourself. ”There must be something wrong!” I later discovered that most of the good people are gay. And I’m proud to be among them."

There is a longer discussion within that interview about his homophobic household keeping him from being open about his homosexuality until late in life, and attempting suicide due to not being able to be open about being gay.

There's absolutely no source for him ever identifying as asexual. I really think someone else has confused celibacy (choosing to abstain from sex for personal reasons, regardless of sexuality) for asexuality, and is spreading a lot of misinformation by having his wiki page state he is asexual. That is what I am trying to correct. Tim Gunn is a very prominent gay icon and activist and that should be reflected in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.121.71.170 (talk) 07:39, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the title of the book use "ltinisct" not "latinisct", if you do a search on google, with "Fialuur i voghel Sccyp e latinisct" you dont find all link but if you use "Fialuur i voghel Sccyp e ltinisct", then you get the link for the googles books and others pages... Unreliable source, Settlement of the Americas

Hi Eduardo, thanks for getting in touch. Turns out the exclamation point is not allowed. The flag is now in proper format. By way of explanation, the source cited for the table is the webpage of a cultural anthropologist (not an archaeologist or geologist, which would be the best source for such information). The table on the anthropolgist's site is unsourced. There is no primary source and some of the dates are simply wrong. IMO the table needs to be removed because of the combination of inadequate sourcing and erroneous information. There are many such problems in the section. One paragraph attempts to use a source that contains no pertinent information, twice. The paragraph is effectively unsourced and based on some questionable assumptions. It might be best to delete or completely rewrite the paragraph. Let me know if you have any further comments.75.111.54.141 (talk) 21:16, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Progress on Wikipedia

Hello Eduardo! I was wondering if you could take a quick look at my contributions on Wikipedia to ensure that I am on the right track. I made some edits on articles such as Canadian Ski Patrol and Terrebonne, Quebec, the latter of which is mainly translation work from the French Wikipedia. I plan on adding more references soon. Finally, I also began using Twinkle in order to participate in maintenance tasks related to new pages and recent changes patrolling. Thanks again! --Spyder212 (talk) 21:41, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The only matter that requires a bit more of attention is to reduce successive edits, so you can make various previews with more than one change each. The discomfort caused by the danger of blackout and information loss you can solve saving the whole text each five or ten changes on a notepad. Additionnally, I would give name to the refs in order to use them in other contexts without repeating them, because various statements use to have the same origin. Congrats! E. Feld talk 23:54, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, dear Eduardo! I am currently trying to reduce the number of successive edits in the articles by using the preview feature and subsequently adding more material. Thanks for the tip! --Spyder212 (talk) 03:11, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
