Marin Dan (born August 30, 1948 in Ştefăneşti, Ileana, Călărași) is a former Romanian handball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics.

In 1972 he won the bronze medal with the Romanian team. He played two matches including the final and scored two goals.

He won the gold medal with the Romanian team at the 1974 World Men's Handball Championship, at the World Youth Handball Championship in 1967, and at the World University Games in 1973.[1]

As a national team player, he scored 160 goals.[1]

After retiring from active play for Dinamo Bucharest, he worked for the Securitate in a counterintelligence unit.[1]

Family

He is married to Aurora Dan, who won the silvermedal in the team foil competition at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
