Handen

Handen is a town in Metropolitan Stockholm, and the seat of Haninge Municipality (kommun) in Stockholm County in eastern Sweden. It had 11,524 inhabitants in 2003. Geographically the urban area is incorporated into Stockholm urban area (total population 1,200,000).

Handen is where the Municipality House, kommunhus, of Haninge is located. Haninge's major shopping centre, Haninge Centrum, is also located here.

'Handen' translates to 'The hand' in Swedish.
