Ronald Meyer
Ron Meyer is an American entertainment executive and former talent agent.
Presently, he serves as the President & COO of Universal Studios (formerly MCA) and has held this position since 1995 when Seagram (then led by Edgar Bronfman, Jr.) acquired the controlling interest in the company. In the years between the Segram acquisition up to the recent purchase of Universal by General Electric, Meyer has proven himself a solid leader by keeping the studio a strong engine of profitability and growth.
Prior to the presidency of Universal, he was president of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which he formed with two other superagents from the William Morris Agency -- namely Michael Ovitz and Bill Haber.
