C.R. Crews is a retired American race car driver from Dallas, Texas. He currently works as a driver coach in sports car racing.
An early graduate of a Dallas prep school,[1] he competed in the Indy Racing League's development system, running eleven races over three seasons for four different teams in the Indy Lights championship, most prominently with Michael Crawford Motorsports during 2007.[2] He has also competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona, Star Mazda Championship, and in championship karting.[3] He has competed in both domestic and international races.[4]
Despite his relative inexperience, he was linked to securing an entry for the 2008 Indianapolis 500. However, he was unable to complete rookie orientation due to rainy weather during the designated time period.[5] He later joined BAR1 Motorsports in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as a driver coach for Garett Grist.[6]
