Kevin Federline

Kevin Earl Federline, (also known as K-Fed, born March 21, 1978), is an American dancer and aspiring rapper, notably married to pop icon Britney Spears.

Career

Early on, Federline worked as a backup dancer for Christina Milian, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Michael Jackson, and the band LFO, future wife Britney Spears' opening act. Federline would later co-star with Spears on the 2005 reality television show, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which consisted of home videos shot by the couple. He also appeared in the 2004 movie, You Got Served.

Federline has been signed to model for the Five Star Vintage line by the San Francisco-based Blue Marlin clothing company. The initial series of ads ran in August 2006. When asked if Federline's role was permanent, he said, "We have to see how this first ad campaign goes."

After being introduced by his pregnant wife, Federline performed his first "official" single titled "Lose Control" as the final act of the 2006 Teen Choice Awards. Federline was nominated in another category (Teen Choice Award for Male Red Carpet Fashion Icon) though he did not win. Federline's music performance on the Teen Choice Awards received mixed reviews. The Associated Press described the performance as "enthusiastic" and concluded that Federline "apparently" could rap.[1] The same conclusion was not reached by some within the hip hop community, as Elliot Wilson, chief editor of XXL Magazine quipped that Federline should be ignored, stating, "he's a joke, basically." [2] Federline's previous single, "PopoZão," released on New Year's Day, 2006, was panned by many music industry critics, with Entertainment Weekly describing PopoZão as worse than expected, and music trade magazine Billboard echoing that the song was 'a monument to mediocrity.'[3]

Federline will release his debut album, Playing with Fire on his own record label "Federation Records", which will be distributed through Sony BMG.

Federline made his television acting debut in an episode of CSI that aired October 12th in the USA and Canada. He also is to appear in three episodes of Entourage. Kevin also appeared on WWE RAW on October 16 2006, where he got into an altercation with WWE Superstar John Cena. Cena F-U'ed Federline, which may make a big impact on celebrity channels.

Personal life

Kevin Federline is noted for his marriage to Dance-pop icon Britney Spears. They married on September 18, 2004. Federline previously dated actress Shar Jackson, with whom he has two children. Kevin and Shar's daughter, Kori, was born on July 31, 2002, and their son, Kaleb, was born on July 20, 2004. He has also fathered two children with Spears, Sean Preston (born on September 14, 2005) and Sutton Pierce (born on September 12, 2006).

Federline courted Spears while Shar Jackson was pregnant with his child. This prompted Shar Jackson to comment that, "it wasn't like just breaking up a relationship. It was like breaking up a family."[4]

Federline has been the subject of ridicule on television and on the World Wide Web by the likes of late night talk show hosts Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno, and E! cable channel's The Soup. He has also been parodied by the animated series Family Guy, and the skit comedy television shows MadTV, and Saturday Night Live.

Federline made an appearance on WWE Raw on October 16, 2006, where Federline himself played a heel character alongside Johnny Nitro (John Hennigan) and Melina (Melina Perez), while also plugging his Playing with Fire album.[citation needed]
