Orestes Matacena (born August 29, 1941) is a Cuban-born American film character actor, writer, producer, and director who has been active since the 1970s. He was born in Havana to Italian immigrant parents.[1] His most notable appearance is in the 1994 film, The Mask, as crime boss Niko.[2]

He was awarded best actor at the 24FPS International Short Film Festival in 2013.[3]

He received the Ozz Electric Award for Best Actor at the Vaughan Film Festival (Toronto, Canada) in 2013 for the film "Caged Dreams." [4]
