Access problems?
Did you have any trouble accessing Wikipedia yesterday? I ask because I was in the middle of editing when the site suddenly stopped working. It seems that the server here at the public library just timed out every time it tried to connect. Is that something particular to the server here, or were there general access problems yesterday? Just curious. Thanks. ---Charles 18:58, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't notice anything particularly strange, but, then again, I also think that every day WP runs really slowly or times out. I think it's a sign that I use it too much. :) -- Merope 19:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmmm... ok. I guess it was a problem w/ the library's server. I will bring it to their attention, 'cause I have had other weird problems here. Thanks. ---Charles 20:28, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Clarification on "CSD A7"
Hi,
I posted my first article today after a lot of lurking on Wikipedia. You deleted it for "csd A7".
After reviewing the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, I'd like to resubmit the article successfully.
What I need to understand is what is different about my article as compared to other articles about companies such as Yelp (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yelp), Zend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zend_Technologies), and so forth? Obviously, in some cases company profiles are allowed.
I used the two companies cited as my model in an attempt to come as close to acceptable the first time around. One thing I do note is that Yelp has more External Links, particularly third-party articles. I can add such external citations if that is the difference maker.
Thanks for your consideration Tkdcoach 20:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Can you please take a look at this guy: [[1]] All of his edits are vandalism, including his "contribution" to Nintendough's talk page. He is a menace. Thanks, as always, for your time and efforts. ---Charles 20:31, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- ...and while you are looking into it I think it is safe to say there is a good chance this is Nintendude: Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Nintendude.--Isotope23 20:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
User:Street Scholar again
- I was wondering if there is something you can do about him. He keeps making ethnic slurs and personal attacks on wikipedia. Look at these two edits [2][3] (and my response here to qualify any misunderstandings [4] ). ThanksHkelkar 21:01, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

DARDA, Dominica American Relief and Development Association
Hello, I have tried on several occasions to add a page about DARDA, Dominica American Relief and Development Association to Wikipedia, yet it continues to get deleted. I am the webmaster for darda.org, a member of the organization, and I created ALL the content (text) on the website. Therefore, it is not a copyright violation for me to use my own work (with permission from DARDA) to add to the Wikipedia page. I stated this in the DARDA talk the first time it was deleted yet when I tried to recreate the article, it was deleted a second time. On my third attempt, I reworded the text, cited the material (references to darda.org) and claimed ownership of content. It was up for a few day but I noticed today that it had, again, been deleted. Can you please tell me why? Nellie1908 22:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Just a notice; User http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:John_Smith47
This user http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:John_Smith47 Keeps deleting things people put on his talk page after he vandalizes pages, I just thought you might like to know he's cutting out stuff you put on his talk page about vandalizing.
Cheers, your friendly random ip user --69.109.107.21 23:20, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

SwingLifeStyle Magazine
Dear Madam;
I respectfully petition your favor; Your recent deletion of the article: SwingLifeStyle Magazine, is unwarranted, as I am documenting the publication of a physical magazine which is copyrighted 2004 and trademarked by our company. The information concerns a publisher of Blue Fox Publishing, LLC. We are generating an online version which is totally free for those interested in obtaining this material, which by the way falls under the legal proviso: "This site does not contain sexually explicit images as defined in 18 U.S.C. 2256. Accordingly, neither this site nor the contents contained herein are covered by the record-keeping provisions of 18 USC 2257(a)-(c). All members are over 18 years of age."
I am adding content today that shows the structure of the issues and allows the work to be brought to daylight for all to see. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirlian7 (talk • contribs)

Can you explain why you deleted the Anthony Farnell post Icarus13 15:54, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
You deleted article about JDTS
Can you explain for me why did you deleted page about JDTS product of Sun Microsystems? As I understood from Italic textBlatant advertising. Pages which exclusively promote a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company, product, group or service as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion: an article that is blatant advertising should have inappropriate content as well. If a page has previously gone through deletion process and was not deleted, it should not be speedily deleted under this criterion. you deleted as advertisement article? can you explain in this case why WP has artcile about java? about TCK? about Mono? JDTS is part of JME ecosystem and,i think, can be placed in WP for explaining quality testcycles in Java Microedition core.
Why are these pages NOT considered blatant advertising?
