== Semtex as weapon ==

I'd reverted the edit [1]. Semtex was designed and produced and used as an industrial explosive (mines, construction, etc). It was not used by Army of Czechoslovakia (and neither by any other army, AFAIK). Pavel Vozenilek 20:26, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category keys

E.g. edit: [2]: it is better to explicitly specify sorting key without diacritics like [[Category:Companies of Czechoslovakia|Zivnostenska banka]], otherwise the item gets sorted (according to Unicode rules) in very funny and highly unhelpful way. AFAIK there's currently no way to fix the problem globally. Pavel Vozenilek 20:33, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

I understand that you are a native speaker of Bengali. I would be most grateful if you could translate something for me in to English from Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign affairs please. I understand it is about Kosovo. [3] Regards Ijanderson (talk) 18:23, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks anyway, Regards Ijanderson (talk) 11:18, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Space institutions

You added some companies such as Kompozit to Category:Soviet and Russian space institutions. This category seems very much redundant as we already have Category:Space industry companies of Russia. I'd suggest we only use the former cat for these companies. Offliner (talk) 12:52, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About Salah Choudhury Article

Thanks for drawing my attention to this article. I can see that this article has multiple issues and it requires a complete rewriting. I am not sure, but it might be an issue of COI too. -- Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 12:05, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Human shield. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 06:28, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:13, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Emmanuel Lasker

Hi Tec15. Browsing some articles, in the history of the article Emmanuel Lasker I've found your edit with the replacement of the Category:Soviet people with the Category:Refugees from Nazi Germany in the Soviet Union, which seems to be partly incorrect due to the fact that Lasker obtained a Soviet citizenship, during his stay in the Soviet Union, which is properly cited in the article. My propose is to let the new category in the article, with reverting the removed one. The same case of the same topic is with the article Robert James Fischer, who obtained Icelandic citizenship in his later life, and is considered an Icelandic within the proper category. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 18:37, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I agree that the Soviet people is an umbrella term which comprises the understanding of the population of the Soviet Union, but indeed the Soviets are considered a new demographic group, evolved of the wide variety of distinct ethnic groups living on its own territory. Apparently, the best reason because this is omitted today is the fact, that it's not a current topic, but only a time period in the past. It is strange, even roughly, but correct to say that Soviet people evolved as a new ethnic group, as the people of the United States. The category German immigrants in the Soviet Union is another example wich left out of the article, and should be added. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 11:11, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re. Pilot Defections

I think renaming it to something like Pilot defections would be a good idea. I thought of doing that before, but wasn't quite sure whether others agreed, so I suppose that you should definitely feel free to retitle it if you like. Zloyvolsheb (talk) 11:52, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Defected to East Germany? Are you sure? He was not a member of the armed forces or part of the political establishment. He was an actor and moved freely from one state to another. All the rest in the category were spies or military personnel. Bahavd Gita (talk) 13:57, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article categories on redirect pages

Hi! Did you mean to add the category to the redirect page [4]? I see you've done a bunch in a row so I'm assuming this was an error? Also looking at your contribs: [5], [6], [7] and more going back. You may find User:Anomie/linkclassifier.css useful. Cheers. —  HELLKNOWZ  ▎TALK 11:20, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your recent categorisation =

Hi there Tec15 (talk),
these are a few lines to thank you for your recent categorisation on the "Niger uranium forgeries article":

Revision as of 13:11, 6 June 2011 (edit) (undo)Tec15 (talk | contribs)
(added Category:Propaganda in the United States using HotCat)

For the last month I kept thinking about it over and over again and I must admit it really helped me gaining a wider perspective on the topic.
Thanks again.

Category:American expatriates in the Soviet Union

Hi Tec15. I see that you have added 'Category:American expatriates in the Soviet Union' to many articles including Langston Hughes and Paul Robeson. Neither of these two lived or worked long term in the Soviet Union. Hughes visited once in 1932, Robeson went there on tour twice. They were not "expatriates" which describes someone who is domiciled outside their country of citizenship. I would urge you to revisit your recent categorisations and see if the subjects were expatriates. If any US expatriate who visited the Soviet Union is added to this cat it will soon be devoid of usefulness. Go gently. Best wishes Span (talk) 15:11, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Burchett was a Soviet spy

Hello, Tec15, You added Burchett to the Soviet Spies category on May 22, 2008. I'm curious what sources you have. Would you please kindly join this discussion and weigh in? Thank you, Karl Kuzmich (talk) 02:16, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I came across this edit by you, which broke the category by inserting one : too much (Perl habit?). As it appeared to be a more or less automated edit I figured you may have done more of these: you might want to check and fix. Cheers. Superp (talk) 21:21, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of United States – Soviet Union aircraft interception and shootdowns

Hey. I stumbled upon this article due to a copyright investigation of another editor, and unfortunately found this article to be copied almost entirely from the prime source used. Sentences cannot be lifted directly from the source, they have to be in your own words. It can always be rewritten and put back on the site, but this one would have to start from scratch, as too much was copy-pasted over to here. Ursel Lorenzen

You added Ursel Lorenzen to the category "West German Spies for East Germany". Do you have any references for this other than what is used in the article? I wasn't under the impression that she was an active spy for East Germany while working as a West German; her MO seems to have been a simple and sudden defection, followed by a massive brain dump, with no espionage activities before her defection. Espionage conviction

Hi, In three articles, you replaced two categories Category:People convicted of espionage in Iran and Category:People convicted of spying for the Soviet Union, with Category:Iranian people convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. However, the latter is not equal to those two, because the first indicated being convicted in Iran (regardless of nationality and the allegiance) and the second indicated allegiance (regardless of nationality and the convicting country); and the third is about nationality and allegiance, not the country they are convicted in. Note that an Iranian national could be convicted in a third country. The right combination would be Category:People convicted of spying for the Soviet Union in Iran, I think. Regards.
