You are right that Shire of Mulgrave (Queensland) ended up in the Cairns Region, but not via the latest 2008 amalgamations which are being discussed in that local government article. Shire of Mulgrave was amalgamated into City of Cairns in 1995. Kerry (talk) 08:50, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

[edit]
Hi WilesHarper, I have unfortunately had to suppress some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. For some useful information on privacy and safety, you can take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages! Someguy1221 (talk) 12:16, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a follow-up, if you absolutely insist on including such information, we will not stop you, but we need some indication that you've seen it an understand the risks. Primefac (talk) 14:26, 4 April 2020 (UTC) Struck per the following Primefac (talk) 02:38, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, we've discussed this on our list, and unfortunately we will enforce the above advice. You should not be posting any personal information on your userpage, and if you do, we can block you. We also think you should rename your account to something that is not easily identifiable. You should do that by making a request at this link which you can click right here. We really do not want to block you, but you need to take this advice, because it is for your own safety. Thank you. TonyBallioni (talk) 18:48, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Photos for Commons

[edit]

Re your user page. This is a great idea. I note that photos from your phone are acceptable if you can't get hold of a camera (plus you probably always have your phone with you). We have so many articles needing photos! A good place to look at is Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Queensland where you will find sub-categories for all the different local government areas, so you can pick the one for your part of the world and see which articles are crying out for photos. Note, there are also any articles which don't have photos but aren't tagged as such. If you see such an article, go to its Talk page and tag it with

{{reqphoto|in=Brisbane}}

{{reqphoto|in=Rockhampton Region}}

or whatever local government area it is in. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask me. Kerry (talk) 04:30, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm FNQ. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Devil's Pool, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. FNQ (talk) 00:41, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
