Revealed: The Justice Dept's secret rules for targeting journalists with FISA court orders Should this be added to the article?Terrorist96 (talk) 10:35 am, Today (UTC−4)
contempt
Holder is only cabinet member held in contempt of congress. This fact should be included. If the House is described as Republican led, the DOJ can be described as Democratic led.
- Did you read the article? There are several paragraphs on the subject, and it was already in the lede. I'm not sure what the point of the party affiliation discussion is, but the lede should summarize the main points in the article body, and that's not featured prominently. Acroterion (talk) 00:29, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Yes I have. I tire of the continued bias shown in some articles, and was attempting to bring a bit of balance, but I know many want to significantly slant the facts.
- Then you know that the contempt citation was already in the lede, and that the relative party affiliations are not major components according to sources. Acroterion (talk) 16:55, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Introduction is very misleading
How come the lead of the article does not mention that Eric Holder was a corporate lawyer? He worked for a law firm, Covington & Burling, that exclusively specialized in representing the interests of multinational corporations, both before he joined the Obama administration and afterwards. He is still there today. He even brought many of the top attorneys of his Department of Justice, such as Lanny Breuer, from the same corporate law firm. The marketing slogan of the law firm is, "We will get you the best deal," according to the American Lawyer. And following the largest economic collapse in U.S. and global history in 2008, Eric Holder, who acceded to office at the start of 2009, refused to prosecute any of the executives involved in what has been publicly recognized as fraudulent and illegal behavior on the part of the commercial and investment banks that were at the center of the crisis. The reason why every single person walked away scot-free, is because Eric Holder represented those same corporate clients before he became Attorney General, and after he became Attorney General. That needs to be included or inferred in the summary, to provide a fair and balanced article on this ex-government official's biographical rendering. Stevenmitchell (talk) 21:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
