Unai Medina Pérez (born 16 February 1990) is a Spanish footballer who plays for UD Logroñés as a right back.

Football career

Born in Bilbao, Biscay, Medina grew in local Athletic Bilbao's youth ranks, but could only appear as a senior for its farm and B-teams. In 2012, he left the club and joined Basque Country neighbours Barakaldo CF,[1] being first-choice in his first and only season.

In July 2013, Medina signed for Deportivo Alavés, freshly promoted to the second division.[2] He made his professional debut on 16 August, in a 0–1 away defeat against Girona FC.[3]

On 17 June 2015, Medina moved to fellow league side CD Numancia after signing a three-year deal.[4] A regular starter, he left the club in June 2019 when his contract expired.

On 1 July 2019, after leaving Numancia, Medina signed for Sporting de Gijón.[5] He terminated his contract with the latter club on 14 September of the following year,[6] and agreed to a two-year contract with fellow second division side UD Logroñés the following day.[7]
