Proposed merger

Shouldn't this article be merged into Russian Bears Motorsport? That page says the team renamed itself to SMP Motorsport in 2013, so I'm not sure why there should be two separate articles.213.46.223.174 (talk) 21:08, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose we don't care about what stated in the article unless we have a source for it. If you have the source that Russian Bears Motorsport was incorporated to SMP Racing, then you should provide it. From my point of view the team just entered under SMP Racing moniker like Charouz Racing System entered 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 Series as Lotus. I think it is obvious that Charouz shouldn't be merged with Lotus article. Corvus tristis (talk) 05:46, 12 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I looked into it some more and from what I can see, for example here[1], it seems they really are technically two separate teams but Boris Rotenberg founded and/or owns both of them. That's confusing, especially if one team has raced under the name of the other. Should the text on the article be adjusted? 213.46.223.174 (talk) 19:15, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
