Shayesteh or Shaista (Persian: شایسته, Pashto: شایسته) is a given name and is often given to females.

In Persian, "شایسته" means "worthy" or "admirable" [1], whereas translating it from Pashto it is derived from Shaist (Pashto: شایست), meaning “beauty”.
